Beat my raccoon.

Grudgeon is a fight game for people who hold grudges. Raise a scrappy animal gladiator, arm it with a bent fork, then send the link to whoever has it coming. They fight back in the browser within fifteen seconds, and a commentator calls every hit with a completely straight face.

Every hit gets called

The commentator has seen everything and is impressed by none of it. A fight lasts about twenty seconds, the server decides every result, and every fight keeps a replay link. The night your pigeon lost to a frog with a rubber band is always one tap away.

  1. Round 1

    • In the orange corner, Gary. In the blue corner, Kevin. In the stands, mostly pigeons.
    • Tonight's venue: The Wedding Reception. Open bar. Poor decisions.
    • HONK. Gary unleashes the horn and Kevin is rooted to the spot.
  2. Round 2

    • Gary honks and swings the bent fork. 18 damage.
    • Kevin darts in with the bottle shard. 14 damage, and possibly a wallet.
  3. Round 3

    • CRITICAL. Kevin finds the soft bit. 41 damage.
    • Gary connects with the bent fork. 27 damage. Textbook.
  4. Round 4

    • Gary winds up the full neck. 75. Absolutely savage poultry.
    • And Kevin goes over. Medics are reluctantly on their way.

How a grudge works

  1. Raise a fighter

Pick one of six animals and give it a name it has to live up to. Every fight drops gear: bent forks, tin-lid shields, cardboard vests, and now and then something legendary.

  2. Send the link

Every fighter has a challenge link. Paste it in the group chat with a short, hurtful message.

  3. They fight your ghost

Your friend picks an animal and is throwing punches within fifteen seconds, in the browser, with no account. Win or lose, you hear about it in your Grudges inbox, next to a rematch button.

Tonight's card

The daily loop fits in a bus ride: five to ten minutes, then get on with your day.

  • Main event

    The Daily Pit

One run a day. Pick a boon between bouts, keep the streak alive and see where you land on the rivals board.

  • Arena

Fight the ghosts of real players. Win and you take some of their gold. They get a revenge button.

  • Adventure

Short outings for gold, gear and experience.

  • Dungeons

Eight of them, each with a boss at the bottom and a chest behind it.

Where it happens

Every fight has a venue, and every venue bends the rules a little.

  • The Kebab Shop, 2am

    Everyone is eating. Including mid-fight.

    Hits heal the hitter

  • The Wedding Reception

    Open bar. Poor decisions.

    More crits

  • The Bouncy Castle

Shoes off. Very hard to land anything clean.

    More armour

  • The Rainy Car Park

Everyone is slipping. Nobody brought a coat.

    More dodging

Power is earned, never sold

Nothing in Grudgeon sells strength. Your fighter gets better by fighting.

  • The browser game has nothing to buy and no ads.
  • Anything the phone apps sell will change how your fighter looks, never how it fights.
  • There are no timers pushing you to pay, and no paid loot boxes.
