Delete your account

You can delete your Grudgeon account and its data from the game at any time, or ask us to do it for you.

Delete it in the game

  1. Open Grudgeon in the app or the browser where you play.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Under “Delete account”, type delete and choose Delete my account.

It happens straight away and cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser does not delete your account: it only removes the key from that device.

Ask us to delete it

If you can no longer open the game, write to privacy@grudgeon.com with the subject “Delete my account” and your fighter’s name or challenge link. We will ask you to show the fighter is yours, for example with a claim code from the device it is on, or by writing from the email address of the Apple or Google account it is saved to. If you no longer have that device, tell us what you remember (name, animal, roughly when you last played) and we will do what we reasonably can. We act on requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your player ID and session keys.
  • Your fighter: name, look, gear, gold, bank, training, talents, progress and settings, with your materials, companions, contracts, season pass progress and cosmetics.
  • Your Grudges inbox.
  • Your rivalries, Rivalry Ledger records, Daily Pit scores and your place on the rivals board.
  • Your ghost in the arena. Your challenge link stops working.
  • Your blocks, claim codes, notification subscriptions and device tokens.
  • The Apple or Google account your fighter was saved to, if any. We also revoke Grudgeon’s access to Sign in with Apple.
  • Your place in your guild. If you led it, it passes to its longest-serving member; if you were the last member, the guild goes.
  • The clips you uploaded, videos included.

What is kept

  • Fight replays and recap lines that other players can still open keep your fighter’s name and look as they were at the time. Your player ID is removed from them.
  • Game statistics, which never carry your player ID, until they expire after three months.
  • Where your fighter was the first to beat a named boss in a season, the Legendary’s history keeps the claim, with your name replaced by “A Mysterious Stranger”.
  • Raid lobbies and their fights, like other fights.
  • Reports you made, or that were made about your fighter, for as long as we need them for moderation.
  • Other players’ inboxes may still mention your fighter in entries from before the deletion, until newer entries push them out (each inbox keeps the latest 50).
  • Purchase records, without your player ID, for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
  • Records of ad rewards, without your player ID.
  • Service logs at our hosting provider, for a few days.
